Scarlett Johansson in View from the Bridge

BRITTANY:
I recently got to see the broadway play A View from the Bridge starring Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber. I REALLY liked this play, and have to say that Scarlett Johansson was amazing; her performance stole the show, and it really showed her range as an actress. It’s funny ’cause I never consisered Scarlett Johansson as a dramatic actress…she did action, she did comedy, but I never really put her in the same category as Meryl Streep or Katherine Hepburn — that is, until I saw this play! A View from the Bridge will show Hollywood what an amazing “serious actress” Scarlett Johansson is. I can’t wait to see what she will do next in her career.
Liev Schreiber also put on a good performance too. The guy that played the lawyer was equally good, as was Jessica Hecht.
The play took place in the 1950s and all the fashion was (obviously) reminiscent of that time. My only complaint is that, although Scarlett was incredibly beautiful, she lacked HAWT accessories. I think some 50s inspired vintage necklaces would have given her character’s outfit a little hotness.
If you’re in the NYC area, I strongly suggest you see this play. A View from the Bridge is playing at the Cort Theatre at 138 West 48th Street on Broadway.
